Front Seat Assembly Repair procedures

Replacement
1. Open the cover and loosen the front seat mounting bolts.

[Front]


Tightening torque :

49.0 ~ 63.7 N.m (5.0 ~ 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2~ 47.0 lb-ft)


[Rear]

Tightening torque :

49.0 ~ 63.7 N.m (5.0 ~ 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 ~ 47.0 lb-ft)


2. Disconnect the main connector (A), front seat belt buckle connector (B), airbag connector (C), seat belt reminder connector (D).

3. To intall, reverse the removal procedure.
  
The installation procedures of seat mounting bolts
Push the seat to the rear end of slides and initially tighten the front mounting bolts.
Push the seat to the front end of slides and completely tighten the rear mounting bolts.
Send the seat to the rear end again to completely tighten the front mounting bolts.
Check the seat for smooth movement.
For the non-automatic slide seats, check the seats are fixed at each designated fixing position.

Front Seat Shield Outer Cover Components and Components Location

Front Seat Shield Outer Cover Repair procedures

Replacement
  
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
  
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1. Remove the front seat outer shield cover (A) by pulling forward in the direction of the arrow using screw driver or remover.

2. Disconnect the front seat power switch connector (A).

3. To intall, reverse the removal procedure.
  
Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).

Front Seat Shield Inner Cover Repair procedures

Replacement
  
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
  
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1. Remove the front seat assembly.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

2. Loosen the screws and remove the front seat shield inner cover (A).

3. To intall, reverse the removal procedure.
  
Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).

Front Seat Back Cover Components and Components Location

Front Seat Back Cover Repair procedures

Replacement
  
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
  
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1. Remove the front seat assembly.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

2. Remove the front seat shield outer cover.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Shield Outer Cover")

3. Remove the front seat shield inner cover.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Shield Inner Cover")

4. Remove the front seat lower protector (A).

5. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the airbag wiring (A).

6. Push the lock pin, remove the front seat headrest (A).

7. Remove the front seat back board (A).
(1) Seperate the upper back cover by pushing the lock pin in the direction of the arrow.
(2) Remove the front seat back cover by lifting in the direction.

8. Turn the front seat back cover inside out. Then pull out the headrest guides (A) while pinching both side of the lower part of the guides, and remove them.

9. Disconnect the front air ventilation duct (A).

10. Remove the protector (A) from the front seat back frame.

11. After removing the Velcro tape (A) and hog-ring clips (B) inside the front seat back cover, remove the seat back cover (C).
  
Be careful not to allow the sponge insert wire to separated in its place.

12. To intall, reverse the removal procedure.
  
Make sure that the connectors are connected completely
Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
To prevent wrinkles, make sure that the cover (B) is stretched evenly before connecting the hog-ring clips (A).
Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C) (09880-4F000).

Front Seat Cushion Cover Components and Components Location

Replacement
  
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
  
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1. Remove the front seat assembly.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

2. Remove the front seat shield inner cover.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Inner Cover")

3. Remove the front seat shield outer cover.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Outer Cover")

4. Remove the front seat lower protector (A).

5. Separate the clip and remove the air ventilation duct (A).

6. Disconnect the front seat motor connectors (A).

7. Remove the protector (A) from the front seat cushion frame.

8. Remove the front seat cushion cover (A) from the front seat cushion frame.

9. After removing the Velcro tape (A) and hog-ring clips (B) inside the front seat cushion cover, remove the seat cushion cover (C).
  
Be careful not to allow the sponge insert wire to separated in its place.

10. To intall, reverse the removal procedure.
  
Make sure that the connectors are connected completely

1. Remove the front seat back cover.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Back Cover")

2. Remove the front seat cushion cover.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Cushion Cover")

3. Remove the side airbag (SAB) module.

(Refer to Airbag Module - "Side Airbag (SAB) Module")

4. Remove the lumbar support assembly.

(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Lumbar Support Unit")

5. After loosening the mounting bolts, detach the front seat back frame assembly (A) from the front seat cushion frame assembly (B).

Tightening torque :

44.1 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.5 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 32.5 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)


6. To intall, reverse the removal procedure.
  
For the seat equipped with side airbag, remove the side airbag from the seat frame assembly.

Before service, be fully aware of precautions and service procedure relevant to air bag.
